NASDAQ OMX will launch an exchange for private companies in a joint venture with SharesPost, Inc., an online trading platform for closely-held shares. Nasdaq Private Market, as it will be known, is an effort to tap what Nasdaq believes is a growing market for shares in companies that aren’t public but have early investors and employees looking to cash out.
