Lisa Macdonald

Lisa Macdonald is co-founder of CEO-CF and is in charge of member services. She organizes and helps to lead all meetings and events, including CEO-CF forums, the CEO-CF Mid-Forum Connect ™, and the CEO-CF E-Forum™. She is the chief point of contact for all CEO-CF members and alumni. In addition, she provides leadership development and assessments to CEO-CF members and senior management teams. Her areas of specialization include biotech, healthcare finance, and information technology. With 20 years of experience in the healthcare field, including human resources, finance, and clinical care, Lisa assists organizations with change management, accelerated growth, and mergers and acquisitions from a human relations perspective. In addition, her healthcare finance background has benefited many member CEOs who are targeting the US market for medical devices or pharmaceuticals. She enjoys working with early stage companies as they obtain their first round of funding. Her enthusiasm and interactive and creative teaching methods make her a favorite for strategic planning meetings and kick off sessions with new companies. Utilizing a series of assessment tools, Lisa provides CEO-CF members with customized reports on performance in areas such as leadership, growth capability, and senior management team development. One area of her concentration is customizing educational programs to individual leaders or groups within an organization to help them attain strategic goals at increments of 30-60-90 days. Lisa’s achievements include working with VC-backed biotech and high tech firms in Europe. In addition she carries a client list in the US of physicians’ practices and hospitals for initial development of a practice or new service lines. She continues to practice emergency department nursing in her spare time. Lisa holds a Master’s of Science in nursing administration from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, as well as a master’s level certification in international health. Her undergraduate degree is from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia. She resides in Ashburn, Virginia with her daughters Julie and Kelly, two horses Braddock and Tucker, and golden retriever, Bear.
