Europe's 500 - Entrepreneurs for Growth
Our strategic pan-European partner, Europe's 500 - Entrepreneurs for Growth, was established as a pan-European association in 1996 to promote entrepreneurial activity across all business sectors and to actively engage with national and EU administrations to help foster the best environment for job creation and growth. Each year, it publishes a listing of the 500 fastest growing job-creating companies from among the 25 EU member states, plus Switzerland, Iceland, and Norway. Companies are ranked on their employment growth, as well as turnover, using the Birch Index devised by economist David Birch at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Each November, a gala awards ceremony and dinner is held in a different European city to recognize and honor the champions of growth.
IESE Business School
Our research partner is IESE Business School, the graduate school of management at the University of Navarra in Barcelona and Madrid. In addition to their standard educational programs, the staff of IESE delivers entrepreneurial training throughout Western and Eastern Europe, and is under contract with the European Commission to monitor and evaluate investor and entrepreneur matching programs in the European Theater.
