Company Profile:

Founded in 2004, ReVolt Technology is a spin-off of SINTEF, Norway—one
of the largest contract research institutes in Europe.
ReVolt's rechargeable Zinc-air battery is the technology breakthrough
that will breathe new life into consumer electronics (mobile phones,
laptop computers, digital cameras, etc.) and gives users the freedom
to go further and the power to do more than ever before.
Rechargeable Zinc-air batteries have more than twice as much energy
than conventional Li-ion batteries, cost less to manufacture, are
safer to use, and are environmentally friendly. The net result is a
new battery, developed by ReVolt, that will transform the way we use
mobile electronic devices, multiply our lifestyle choices, and
reenergize the business and pleasure of day-to-day life.
With strong financial investment from Northzone Ventures, SINTEF,
Sofinnova Partners, TVM Capital, RWE Innogy, Verdane Capital and
Viking Venture, Revolt Technology is well-positioned to industrialize
its breakthrough technology and capture substantial market share.
With long-term development in mind, ReVolt moved its operational HQ
and R&D center to Staefa, Switzerland in October 2006.
