Rafael developed his career in the world of digital information and Internet. He founded Invertia in 1998, which he then sold to Telefónica. It later became the most visited financial website in Spain and Latin America.
Following that sale, Rafael joined Terra, where he was SVP of Strategic Processes for its integration into Telefónica.
He was General Manager of Terra in Spain, an ISP, and the number three portal in his market in terms of audience and revenues. They were a total of 250 people with €0.18M in revenues.
Rafael was also a Board member of Uno-e, an online bank part of Group BBVA.
When Rafael left Telefónica, he started OpenInnovation, and from there, started Tooio.com.
