Miguel was born in Angola in 1968. He studied math at the Science University in Oporto and became a teacher in 1992. Drawn to entrepreneurship, Miguel began building and selling computers with a store named Chip7 in 1994. INTROduxi was formed in 1995 as a supplier of informatics material and it was ranked among the top 100 in the sector.
In 1999, Miguel entered an MBA course at IEDE (Institute of Business Development) in Spain. In June 2000, Chip7 created Seara.com to develop and maintain information systems with a specialty in the development of communication strategies for the Internet.
In November 2003, Chip7 and INTROduxi created Avanport Holding to use the capital generated from both companies to launch new investments.
