Michael has over 20 years of experience as a finance professional in
the IT, telecommunications and software industries. Prior to joining
UCMS he was the CFO at Asylum Telecom LLC, where he successfully
raised two rounds of financing from Motorola Ventures & OPIC. Prior to
Asylum he acted in a consultancy capacity on a number of projects
principally for start-up enterprises in the technology sector. He was
formerly CFO at Netverk PLC, a UK-based technology company developing
leading-edge network optimization solutions for the emerging mobile
data market. Prior to this he was CFO of Scala Business Solutions NV.
He joined the Scala group in 1993 as the finance director for the
Scala distributor in Eastern and Central Europe and was instrumental
in driving the growth of the company and for the consolidation of the
group in 1997. During his time at Scala he raised in excess of $55.0M
in private placements and public offerings. Prior to this he worked at
a corporate finance subsidiary of Den Norske Bank in London in the
capacity of Finance Manager. He started his professional life at KPMG
in London where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Michael holds
a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and accounting from
Loughborough University in England.
