Member Profile:

Prior to Merus Power Dynamics and Nokian Capacitors, Kari spent 11
years at Wartsila in various engineering and managerial positions.
From 1986 to 1989, Kari was a research scientist for the National
Research Centre of Finland. He then was the area manager in South East
Asia as well as the information systems manager for the Vaasa Factory
in Finland. From 1997 to 1999, Kari was based in Hong Kong and served
as the area manager of Asia and Australia. From 1999 to 2000, he
worked in the Netherlands as the general manager of Power Plants
Customer Support.

Kari received a master’s degree in engineering from Helsinki
University of Technology in 1987.

focus on the dynamic performance of power systems. The products and
services of the company improve power quality and enable grid
connection of difficult loads or power generation of insufficient
power quality.

Merus Power Dynamics was founded in November 2008 and has its
headquarters in Nokia, Finland. The core founding personnel has long
experience and competence in the field of reactive power compensation,
harmonic filtering and power transmission system applications. The
purpose and aim of the company is to provide power quality products to
utilities and industries, to meet the requirements set by regulators
and authorities, as well as the general requirement of competitiveness
in the energy intensive industry.
