João is a Portuguese national, Founder, 50% Owner and Managing Partner of Diligence Capital, a privately held Venture Capital from Portugal focused on Early Stage Information Technologies (www.diligencecapital.com).
He is also a Founder, Chairman and President of NDrive Navigation Systems (www.ndrive.com). NDrive is a worldwide provider of navigation and Location Based Services for GPS, Handset Manufactures and Telecom.
Also, João currently acts as Board Member of BioDevices (www.biodevices.pt), Board Member of NMusic, and Board Member of QUiiQ (www.quiiq.com).
Before, he was co-owner and was on the board of Infoportugal from 2006 to 2010, leaving after a successful exit to the largest Portuguese Media Group (Impresa).
Before that he was for 9 years (from 1997 to 2006) one of the Managing Partners of Novabase, that went through an IPO and become the largest Portuguese IT services provider.
He holds an MSc degree in Engineering from FEUP.
He has 14 years experience as a CEO and senior executive, the last 5 years active in Venture Capital.
