Appointed CEO at Wheatley Associates in March 2010, this is a private equity business providing meter asset management and mobile workforce scheduling solutions to the utilities and local authority housing markets in the UK. Wheatley Associates will take a leadership role in the provision of solutions for smart meter roll out, and smart grid asset management.
Previously Jeremy led the recovery of Artisan Software Tools, a VC-backed high-technology software company, from its low point when the dot.com bubble burst in 2002 to a management buy-out in 2007 that enabled a successful exit for three of its investors.
With over 25 years of operations, sales and strategic development and implementation experience in high technology companies, Jeremy founded and sold his first business in the 1980s, and has been involved at Board level in fund raising, sale, or other restructuring activities since. Experienced with both turn around and growth situations, he has set up distribution channels and local offices in many locations in Europe, Asia and the USA, having lived and worked out of Boston MA for 3 years.
An inaugural member of Group A of CEO-CF in June 2005, Jeremy was an integral part of the CEO-CF team in 2008-9. Working closely with all the CEOs and Finance Stream members as well as lecturing at EVCA and the IESE Business School's Executive Education programmes, he excels in the front of a classroom environment as well as in one-on-one mode as CEO coach and advisor. Jeremy completed his Executive MBA at Bath University in 1993, and focused there on the nature of organizational dynamics in high technology companies and the behaviour and motivations of leadership involved in the executive process.
