A UK Chartered Accountant, Julian has spent his career across a range of businesses, in differing sectors, with various financial structures. He has been both CFO and Director of Business Development. Married to a Swiss National with two children, he lives in central Switzerland close to Luzern.
He is Director and owner of `Swiss Mergers and Acquisitions` who advise on sales and qcquistion of Swiss businesses and Non-Executive Director of biometrics company `Keylemon sa`. He is also the Owner of `DomainCheckCom.Com`, `SchweizerDomain.com`& `Domainch.ch` which owns key Swiss related domain names for resale.
In April 2008, Julian moved to Meggen in the Canton of Luzem, Switzerland where he resides.
From 2003 to November 2008, Julian was a Founder and a Director (focused on business development) of Shaw Healthcare Group, which runs 80 nursing homes and private hospitals: in addition it owns 320 residential properties.
During this time, Julian part of the team that took Shaw private in 2006 and grew by over 100% in four years. 50% of this growth was as a result of a major healthcare contract worth $950M that took two years to negotiate and that Julian was project leader for. Julian raised multiple amounts of project finance over the five years he spent with Shaw, with individual amounts averaging at $20.0M.
From 1997 to 2002, Julian was CFO of the startup company Wireless
Systems International, and developed communication equipment for the
3G Mobile Telecoms market. During his time there, he raised three
rounds of funding. In 2000 it achieved a value of over $100M on an investment of $11M.
Julian began working for Racal Redac, a global EDA software and
hardware group with over 1000 employees, as an overseas Financial
Controller in 1989. In 1992, Julian became the Group CFO, restructured
the company in 1993, and sold it in 1994 to a Japanese Group, while
maintaining his position as Group CFO.
