 Fernando started his career with Hewlett Packard in 1994 and then in
1996 he became administrative manager and financial analyst for
Professional Services BU, with a brief period at Digital in between.
In 1998, he was a controller in the IT department of Optimus (a mobile
telecom operator).

Fernando received a degree in business administration from
Universidade Católica Portuguesa and attended a post-graduate program
in finance at the Nova Forum (Universidade Nova de Lisboa).
