Erik founded Quinyx FlexForce as a JA-YE (Junior Achievement Young
Enterprise) company project during his last year of high school. The
business plan was to create a timesaving web tool for McDonald’s. The
system was first launched at a local McDonald’s in Örebro and soon
spread to other restaurants and cities.

In 2006, Erik was awarded The Anders Wall Scholarship for young
entrepreneurs at the Stockholm School of Economics. The recipient of
this scholarship is selected from among the approximately 12,000
students who participate annually in the Young Enterprise Company
Program. Erik and Calnet also received the Best Student Company of the
Year in 2007—an award given to a company in Sweden that is
owned/operated by an individual who is achieving strong academic
results at a university while running a successful company.
