Dan is a keen technologist and has been involved in computers and information technology since his early years, having a piece of software he wrote published in a well-known magazine when he was just 12. Dan set up his first business at 14 in his spare time and had well over 100 customers by the time he took his place to read law at university. Dan wrote his dissertation on the extent to which the internet would affect legal practice before getting disillusioned with the lack of appetite for change within the profession as a whole. For a while, Dan worked to set up a new online trademark registration service, which has finally just launched some six years later! He went on to work as technical lead for Abbey’s supplier on their XP rollout before setting up Dot Net with brother Tim in April 2004.
