Member Profile: 

Carlos started his professional career in South Africa at the Development Bank of Southern Africa, then moved on to create a clearing and forwarding business, while being President of the Young Portuguese Entrepreneurs Association of South Africa, and also worked at MLH & Partners.

He later moved to Portugal having worked at present day Accenture, created and managed DHV Management Consultants (within the DHV International Group where he became Vice-President) and thereafter founded Leadership Business Consulting. Carlos also served as a Member of the Portuguese Parliament for 4 years and as Coordinator of UMIC (Information Society Unit) at the Presidency of the Prime Minister’s Council.

Carlos graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Town & Regional Planning with double distinction and seven academic prizes at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, where he later completed a Masters Degree in the same area. Carlos has completed an MBA at Lisbon New University and attended small executive courses at Harvard, Nierode, Católica Lisbon and MIT.
