Christian is becoming CEO of the the electro optic startup poLight on August 30th, 2010. Previously he ran the startup Varioptic as CEO from mid 2007 through April 2010. Previously Christian was director of Texas Instruments’ European Wireless Terminals Business Unit (WTBU), with overall management
responsibility including design, application, product engineering, business planning and marketing. Christian originally joined TI in 1988, where he held several senior management positions in France. He was also director for TI's Americas Wireless Communications Business at the worldwide TI headquarters in Dallas, Texas.

Christian graduated from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland in 1987.

poLight has been developing wafer-based functional microoptics components for severals years now.

Their technology is based on proprietary and patented methods for creating active optical components based on deformable polymers. Their main project is to develop the world’s smallest and most cost-efficient autofocus lens for micro cameras. The poLight technology is characterized by wafer scale manufacturability, compact size, low cost and high optical quality.
